How do I book an appointment?

The easiest and quickest way to book an appointment is to call our office on 01953 607705.  

Do you give appointment appointment times?

We do give approximate times that you can expect our engineer to call, but please note that these are approximate.  

Sometimes we are unavoidably delayed and although we do try to contact you to let you know, it is not always possible.  We appreciate your understanding in such circumstances. 

What are your charges?

Please contact our office on 01953 607705 to discuss your requirements and get details of the charges which will apply to you.

What are your opening hours?

Our office hours are 9am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm (although these may change during to staff holidays).  Out of hours there is an answer machine.  We advise you to contact our office on 01953 607705 to ensure that someone will be available to meet you.

Do you offer 24 hour emergency callouts?

We don't offer 24/7 callouts, but we do have an answer machine which is regularly checked out of hours.

Do you have weekend appointments available?

We have appointments available Monday to Friday, but we only deal with emergencies during weekends and public holidays.

Will you be able to repair my boiler the same day?

We are able to repair 95% of oil boilers on our visit as our service vans carry a large range of parts to ensure that tis is possible.  Gas boiler parts are more specific and may have to be ordered.

Do you charge for installation quotes?

No.  All our of quotes are free of charge.  As every boiler installation is slightly different, we visit you to discuss your requirements and put your quotation writing for you.  We don't believe in pressure sales, and so we don't do any discounts for things such as signing up on the spot, and we do not follow up our quotations after they have been sent to you.  

However, if you have any questions about a quotation you have received please do not hesitate to call us, we are more than happy to answer to questions you may have.  

How long is my quotation valid for?

Our installation quotations are valid for 2 months, unless otherwise stated.  

Do you do any type of plumbing work?

We work on any part of heating systems, including pipe work, radiators, cylinders, controls and boilers, but we don't do general plumbing work such as bathroom installations and tap replacements.

What work are you qualified for?

We are GAS SAFE qualified and registered to work on gas boilers, fires and unvented hot water cylinders.  We are OFTEC registered to work oil boiler installations and repairs.

Can I see the boiler I have been quoted for?

We have a small show room at our office at Unit 2, Postmill Close, Wymondham, but not all boilers are on display.  If you have a specific boiler you would like to see, please contact our office and we will try to assist you.

Are you a franchise company?

No.  We are a small, local, independant company.

Which areas do you cover?

We cover Wymondham, Attleborough, Watton and Diss.  If you are outside of these areas please contact our office on 01953 607705 to see if we cover your area.

I've been told my system needs a Power Flush, how do I know for sure?

What is a combination boiler?

A combination (or combi) boiler is both a both a high-efficiency water heater and a central heating boiler combined, meaning there is no need for a separate hot water cylinder or loft tanks.  More than 50% of boilers installed in Britain every year are combination boilers.

What is a condensing boiler?

Since April 2005, all new boilers must be a condensing boiler.  Condensing boilers are far more efficient than than traditional boilers, as they incorporate an extra heat exchanger so that the hot exhaust gases give up much of their energy to pre-heat the water in the boiler system.  When working correctly, much of the water vapour produced in the combustion process condenses back into liquid form releasing its latent heat.

How often should my boiler be serviced?

It is generally advised to get your boiler serviced every 12 months.

Why should I get my boiler serviced?

Getting your boiler serviced by a reputable, qualified engineer can help to prevent the appliance breaking down.  It also ensures that your boiler is safe to use and is working as efficiently as possible.

Does having my boiler serviced mean it will not breakdown?

Although there is no doubt that getting your boiler regularly maintained will help prevent it breakdown, there are unfortunately no guarantees.

Do you offer any Maintenance cover plans?

No, not the current time.

What is Powerflushing?

Power flushing removes any deposits which are in central heating systems.  The circulation pump is removed, and a powerflush unit is connected in its place.  The unit allows water to be pumped around the system at a much higher rate than usual, and allows the addition of cleansing chemicals if necessary.  It can also work by sending water around the system in the reverse direction.  

By removing any corrosive deposits in the heating system, the life of the system components, e.g. pumps and radiators, can be extended, cold spots in radiators can be removed and it can also stop the ‘kettling’ of boilers.  We power flush the system after installing any new boiler as standard practice.
